Logistics and business real-estate specialists SCAMAC have chosen Bussy Saint-Martin, in the
ZAC du Gué Langlois, as the location for their head office and business premises, on a surface of 1,367 m2.
The builder,
SALINI Group, has opted for a design which fosters cost-cutting and militates in favour of
eco-construction.
Located by the Park of Rentilly, the building was conceived in such a way as to preserve the quality of the local environment. Remarkable in its
VHEP (Very High Energy Performance) approach, the building will feature reinforced insulation by using natural, recyclable materials.
A rainwater collector and a rainwater recycling system will be used for watering, cleaning the floors and supplying toilets, cutting the drinking water bill by 40 to 50%. An
air/air heat pump will be installed to heat and air-condition the premises, improving thermal comfort and energy efficiency throughout the building.
Office ventilation will be provided by a
Canadian well acting as natural air-conditioning and diffusing high-quality air: the air circulates permanently through pipes buried in the ground at a depth guaranteeing a stable temperature.
In winter, the air absorbs calories stored in the ground and restores them inside the building. By contrast, in summer, cooled air in the ground is redistributed via a ventilation system. In order to reduce the calorie input from direct radiation,
terra cotta sun breakers will be deployed on the openings of exposed facades.
The building is planned for delivery in the first semester 2011.
